Nagyharsány (+20 Km) ENG

Nagyharsány is a fascinating village on the southern slope of the Villányi Mountains, with rich natural and cultural attractions. One of its most prominent sights is the Nagyharsány Sculpture Park, which is located in the area of an abandoned quarry. In the park, which has been operating since 1967, works by domestic and international artists can be seen, and we can often watch the artists at work (Trip Tips) (Villány Wine Region).

The Szársomlyó Nature Reserve is also a popular attraction, which can only be visited with a professional guide. Organized by the Danube-Dráva National Park, tours to the top of the mountain start five times a week, where you can enjoy an unparalleled view of the Dráva plain and the Villány wine region (Villány Wine Region).

The Kikerics Panoráma Sétány, completed in 2020, is a modern, metal-built path that runs along the edge of the sculpture park and enables visitors to walk safely while protecting the flora of the area. The panoramic trail is particularly interesting during the blooming period of the Hungarian kikerics, from January to March (Trip tips) (Villány Wine Region).

The Local History Collection in the village presents the rich history of Nagyharsány and the daily life of the people who lived here. This exhibition is located in Petőfi Street and can be visited after prior registration (Nagyharsány Municipal Government).

Due to the rich historical and natural values of Nagyharsány, as well as the artistic and cultural programs, it is definitely worth visiting this charming settlement (Nagyharsány Trip Planner) (Utazzitthon.hu).
